Man arrested in connection to multi-township car thefts
OHIO TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police in Ohio Township said they arrested a man accused of stealing items from car in Hopewell, Alleppo, Moon and Ohio townships.
Ohio Township Police Chief Norbert Micklous said officers are now hoping to return the stolen items to their rightful owners.
Craig Moore, 27, is accused of taking everything from power tools to designer clothes from unlocked vehicles. He was taken into custody on Wednesday after surveillance video showed him using stolen credit cards to purchase expensive electronics.
"We believe he was going to use a lot of the electronics to trade and sell for funds," said Micklous.
Police recovered several items, including smartphones, GPS units, sunglasses and perfume.
"My suggestion is anyone who had anything taken in the last few days notify their police department," Micklous said.
